Our team has over 46 years of woodworking experience. As a Scottish-born woodworker, he served his apprenticeship as a furniture maker and was an ebonist in France.  He then transplanted to the US in 1979 to continue his craft.

Although we can certainly work with only the stock, we would prefer to have the complete gun when doing a refinish because this ensures proper fitting of the stock to the metal. When sending the stock, please leave the butt plate/pad and sling mounting hardware on the stock, but loosen all screws prior to sending.

Refinishing and Repairs
Start right, you end right. A tested, demonstrated methodology is the best path to securing the stock refinish that will secure its place above your mantle.

We practice a refined process to prepare the wood for a finish that will exceed your expectations.  We appreciate the unique qualities that every stock possess. We also repair stocks that were damaged during other refinishes.

Some military stocks have Cartouche and/or arsenal markings that need to be preserved.  There are also many variations of wood used to construct these stocks.  This is why every gun is unique and requires a unique plan of action to properly restore the gun to exceed your expectations.  There are many different finishes that can be applied to gunstocks.  We specialize oil finishes but have experience with other applications, including a high-luster epoxy finish. In addition to refinishes, we can repair your broken stock ensuring that the proper materials are utilized. 

Recoil Pad Installation
We install pads with the correct toe and heel angle to follow the lines of your stock, and will be ground to fit your gun exactly.  We take my time, seal the end of your stock, drill new holes for the pads, and pay attention to the finest details.
