How to legally ship firearms for repairs or refinishing.

You do not have to have a license to ship firearms, but the person or business to whom you are shipping the firearm must have an FFL license (Federal Firearms License). LGW is fully licensed and able to accept firearms.

Ways To Ship Firearms
There are really only a couple of options when it comes to shipping firearms. They are:

  1. United States Postal Service
  2. Common carriers such as UPS and FedEx

You can ship rifles and shotguns through the United States Postal Service, UPS or FedEx. However, you must have a license to ship a handgun. If you are shipping a handgun, you must go through UPS or FedEx. Both UPS and FedEx have policy that states they must be shipped Overnight Priority. LGW encourages you to insure your firearms for shipment and LGW will insure the return shipment.
